All of the previous report is correct.

I unfortunately did not see this post until I had already been employed for almost 2 months, but it helped solidify the redflags I was ignoring.

Our payroll was late on several occasions. I too witnessed a contractor banging on the back door demanding to be paid. I also witnessed how he keeps leading on clients, insisting jobs will completed (but with no actual workers lined up to complete said jobs) and even when contractors would be lined up, he would refuse to pay any forms of deposits.

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS MAN.

And also

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR BUILDING.

The work will likely never be completed.

I worked as an employee for this company for 2 1/2 weeks. Its a relatively new business offering buildings/condos contract work offering several different services. Eg carpet cleaning, water damage, garbage, plumbing etc. I personally worked physical labour & scheduled different trades for various jobs at different locations . I was also forced to purchase material myself from homedepot for this company for a plumbing job I was sent to take care of. I did not get compensated for either my time or the material. In the time I was there.. I witnessed the owner of this company withhold moneys from other contractor/workers. One day in office I was told to hide & not give my real name when a subcontractor came looking for his payment & he himself had to call the police for help.. Ultimatly he was told he was trespassing & was forced to leave. Owner admitted to me this is how he makes his money & is profitable... By hiring people & ultimately not compensating for their labour or any material they had to purchase. Ignoring phone calls & messages & ultimately blocking these individuals for any future contact. Currently OBE has job postings looking for asst project managers (which was my title) & I want to prevent my experience to happen to others. I guess he feels no one or the law is above him. He cannot be allowed to continue.
