Employment - Drop Shipping Scam Reports & Reviews (31)

- Bristol, VA, USA • Mar 13, 2024

I received an email introducing the company and was asked if I was interested. Then I received another email offering me a job. Exactly as described on the listing page for this scam. I researched the company and their website looks legit. Offering too much money up front and it didn't seem like sending packages to me for inspection was a good financial move for the company. I found that this is a scam and did not apply.

- National City, CA, USA • Mar 08, 2024

They hired me and work home online as picking up package and shipping they told me that i get paid 3200 + bunos within after a month but after a month working with this company they didnt pay me at all i used my car to picking up package to anywhere location that assign to pick up the packages i used my cash to put gas on it and they dont pay me at all

- Parma, MI, USA • Mar 08, 2024

And my experience they called me from the number I provided to have an interview. I waited a couple days and heard back about the job and was offered a position for $930 a week. I started receiving packages to inspect on February 8th 2024. I communicated with Emina over email and the website I provided. I was inspecting packages and taking pictures and sending them to her and then shipping the packages to an address in New York.

Applied a job offer as “Parcel Inspection Specialist” on “Indeed”, got accepted but my friends warned me about job scams that sound exactly who I am “working”. They send packages to your location and you have to see if the item is described on the list, if it does you print out a label they send you and you ship it back to either UPS,Fedex, USPS. Once done you get the receipt from one of the stores and take a picture to send it to the company as “proof”

- Lancaster, PA, USA • Mar 05, 2024

It was a regular job offer, sent application, sent w-2 and w-4 to fill out as an employer. Asked for scanned ID and sent packages for 30 days walked you through expectations, had a supervisor assigned to you virtually then locked/removed your username to the dashboard/employee access and refused payment for work completed.

- Philadelphia, PA, USA • Feb 07, 2024

was told to collect packages and inspect them then resend them to people

- York, PA, USA • Jan 28, 2024

I was contacted through email for a job offer to receive unknown packages to my home, inspect them for good quality, and then add a new shipping label and take it to UPS or Fed Ex. They have a dashboard on their website with a scam alert posted. The alert states that people have been trying to take packages away once they get to an employee's home, and these people go as far as bombarding into homes to collect packages that they claim are stolen goods. They also alerted that these people may appear as police. The company did not respond to my concerns as I feared for my safety as well as my family. They have my address and driver's license information in their database. I cannot find a way to detach from this company. They are not responding to any emails or phone calls. There are a slew of others in my predicament regarding the exact same company.

- Lorton, VA, USA • Jan 26, 2024

The company offered me a job where I would repackage items and they would then provide labels for me to then ship them out. They promised to pay me and I even had an assigned supervisor. I now believe this is all a scam.

- Battle Creek, MI, USA • Nov 28, 2023

My name, social security number and ID was used to fill out my I9 form for tax purposes. I was working for this company since 09-19-23. The first month was probationary and I was paid $20 per shipment. After that, I went to monthly. My 1st monthly check was supposed to be 11-20-23 and I have not received anything. And I can not get a hold of anyone.

- Smyrna, GA, USA • Oct 27, 2023

I was hired with a two week training period and asked to purchase product, mostly electronics, with my credit cards and have them packaged and shipped. The scam was that they would reimburse me through an ACH transfer to my credit card BEFORE I shipped the product out, with most of them going to Hong Kong. Unfortunately, they were able to Reverse the ACH transfer after I had shipped the product, even though the credit card payment (transfer) had apparently gone through. They then sent me a check to cover the costs however the check was a forgery. My contact was a Tom Wilson, which by his accent was most probably not his real name.

For the most part, packages were sent to me including a new printed off label for me to ship to UPS or fedex. Also, I would have to pick up other packages from Wal greens and Dollar general in other towns. One shipment consisted of 30 packages at once.

• Aug 20, 2023

I was contacted through SNI Technology, a job seeking website, that I had a position for "Quality Control Inspector" for a Tray Logistics LLC. I was desperate for work so I took it. They sent me packages that I'd reship with a new shipping label, all done through a website called "mysmartpanel" and said that my paycheck would be 1 month after my first package. I didn't get the money, and then found out my work account on the smartpanel was disabled. I caught on it was a scam after googling it, and am working on closing my bank accounts and letting authorities know about the situation. I gave them my phone number, address, driver's license with the ID censored, as well as banking account number and routing number (no ways to log in but I've closed the account and am opening a new one just in case) I do not remember if I gave them my SSN but I don't believe so. I never had to make any payments to them, but I believe they stole my personal information.

• Aug 19, 2023

I was contacted initially via email by a man named John Barrett at career@rp-foundation. He asked me to fill out an employee application and send it back via email. I omitted my SSN on the application because I don't trust any of the work from home companies since I was victim of 2 previous attempts to scam me with fake employment. So I did my research and followed the scammer checklist. They had a nice website which gave contact info, physical addresses of their offices in the US and Germany and I read through their blogs, descriptions and services. Everything seemed good. No spelling issues or grammar errors. The website looked like a well established with active working links to the different pages. I did try the phone number provided, however it just kept ringing with no answering machine or service. Skeptical. Mr. Barrett said I would be contacted by my personal manager and a phone interview will be conducted shortly with a senior HR Manager. Shortly after, as promised, I was then contacted by my personal manager, Elena Meises (career@rp-foundation). She used the same email as Mr. Barrett, so I continued to be skeptical. That afternoon, I received a phone call from an HR manager named Alex. He had a very heavy foreign accent. He asked a few questions and mentioned they were going to run a background check. However, I did not provide my social in the employment app so I'm not sure what type of background check could have possibly been ran without it. Nonetheless, I needed a job and wanted to believe this was legit. So my training for a month started the next day. I was to receive packages from our sponsors and donators, check and photograph the contents then reship to a receiving person with a new FedEx label. Of course I was eager to try it so I moved forward with my instructions. According to my contract, I was to be paid $2250 /mo plus any bonuses for shipping out packages within the same day label was created. Of course, I did not take notice of the "bill to sender" on the labels. So, because I was doing such a good job with the job in training, RP foundation manager cut down my training to a 2 week span that I was to become an official Giving Officer for RP- Foundation. I reshipped about 5 packages before I received the first of 4 FedEx bills. After I sent an email to my personal manager regarding the invoices from FedEx, they told me that it was unusual and their finance department would look into it. I wanted these bills paid before I go shipping anything else. My personal manager could not provide any proof of the claim that they paid the first two invoices. But all they had to provide to me as proof was a Chase bank statement that showed all of RN Foundations account info such as account number, money transfer activities, etc. This seemed very unusual and after I noticed all of the discrepancies on the Chase statement such as the 2 FedEx invoices listed on the statement were not correct, it provided me enough evidence to deem this company a reshipping scam. Now...the reporting process! Here we go...

Was sent an application by email saying it was an internship for 30 days. Payment date 8.14.23. I received and shipped packages sent to labels sent to me from the supervisor. I then delivered packages to various shipping departments, fed ex, UPS and USPS as directed. After the month, no answer from anyone regarding pay or the two labels I needed to ship the last two packages I still have. I went ot check my portal account today and it won't let me log in. I emailed the original person Mr. McPeters and no response. I called the number and no answer. I then began to research a little bit and found another person had reported them as a scammer. So here is my story. I truly thought it being on Indeed it would have been a legit job. I was wrong. I am not sure I will do this again.

Japfu LLC, or japfu.com, is an online marketing company that sends products to me, I inspect them for damage, remove all labels and packing slips, am sent a new label that I put on the package(s), then take it to UPS and send it on to the customer. I have worked for them in a 4-week trial period, which is almost over, and then start working for them as an "employee" for a full month before getting paid. Japfu LLC is supposed to be a NY, NY company but the ScamPulse.com does not have them on record! I believe they are fraudulent and would like to see them closed down before they scam others like myself. I have pictures and documentation of all packages that they have had me process.
