Type of a scam Employment
When I first engaged with WoodGreen's team, they assured us that this employer offered fair opportunities for employment and advancement. We were encouraged to give the employer a chance, with the expectation of a positive working relationship and room for growth. However, issues emerged immediately during the first week, exposing a chaotic and disorganized environment.
The employer unexpectedly instructed us not to come to the office due to family problems. Alarmed by this unusual request, several of us promptly reported our concerns to WoodGreen. In response, we were reassured that the business had been properly vetted and that the employer would be pressured to meet basic employment conditions, such as providing office space and essential equipment like computers.
Despite these assurances, the situation worsened. When we arrived at the specified location the following week, the employer informed us that the offices were still not ready and that we shouldn't enter the building. This lack of organization persisted, with the employer frequently changing his statements, causing further confusion. It became clear that he was not meeting basic requirements, and when WoodGreen pushed him to comply, he chose to terminate his partnership with them.
Following this, WoodGreen advised us that any continued interaction with the employer would be at our own risk. This response made it evident that the employer had no intention of honoring his commitments or paying our salaries. Unfortunately, our fears were confirmed when the employer failed to compensate us for the work performed.
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially given the early warnings we provided. I trusted WoodGreen's vetting process and assurances, but the outcome did not align with our expectations.
