Received text message saying there is an outstanding medical bill that "has been placed with our office" and they are trying to collect past due amount. They offer an account number as reference starting with MB. Says they need a response today "or they must take other action".

Company called Empire Merchant Solutions LLC texted for days that my wife owed a medical bill totaling $6000 from 10 years ago. They mentioned we would be served by the court but we could pay $1900 to settle out of court. My wife never stayed at this hospital and we called the hospital to confirm no bill was owed. I also checked the Circuit Court website for any pending legal action against her....nothing. 100% scam. Be careful people....They also used a number of 1-866-575-6810.
