Interested party contacted me pretty much immediately after posting a vehicle for sale on AutoTrader, they then then wanted confirmed history report about the vehicle and send a link to a recommended site EliteCarfax.com to get one, site even has the car fox mascot then even offering to cover the cost by paying me back. All seems pretty legit but it starts to unravel when you get the charge from a random company name and the report comes from a gmail account not an official email related to a company url. After I send them the report they claim a family emergency and cancel to come see the car in person for sale. Save your loot don’t fall for this!
