Total money lost $2,000
Type of a scam Investment
After completing my registration, I followed her instructions to deposit a total of $2,000 into a bank account under a personal name specified by her, which was purportedly for setting up my business in Japan. Shortly thereafter, I received requests to make an additional payment of $1,000 due to new orders. At this point, I expressed my inability to continue funding the orders without first withdrawing some funds to use as working capital. However, I was informed by her that withdrawals could only be made after all products had been shipped, a condition that was not previously disclosed to me.
Seeking clarity, I contacted the customer service (CS) directly on the EGGABC site but received the same perplexing response. When I demanded to see the terms of service or any official documentation supporting their claims, none was provided.
This experience has led me to believe that I might be a victim of a sophisticated scam, potentially involving misleading practices and unauthorized financial requests without proper transparency or regulatory adherence.
Therefore, I request the Consumer Protection Center to intervene by:
Investigating the practices of the EGGABC platform.
Assisting me in recovering the funds I have transferred under misleading pretenses.
Ensuring that other consumers are warned about this potential fraud.
