Boat scam

Scam Description: Facebook add showing a 2016 Yamaha Jet boat listed for $22,000 by a profile user name listed as "datboi" in Lafayette, LA. I asked to see the boat and was told he was listing for his aunt and provided her e-mail address [email protected]. She responded on e-mail as "Lisette Bauer" and stated that the boat was located in Indiana at Eco Intelligent Logistics and that if I sent them $22,000 they would ship me the boat, but I could not see it in advance. If I didn't like the boat they would accept it back and refund my money. They could never show proof of title and was just very weird all the way through.

Ad for a nice boat posted on market place for $22,000. Lomg story short they wanted to hold the money in a "secure account", ship the boat to me to test and if everything went well they would give the money to the seller. Very sketchy people and would never provide proof of title.

I asked to see the car and was told he was listing for his sister-in-law and provided her e-mail address [email protected]. She responded on e-mail as "Zoe Parkinson" and stated that the car was located in Indiana at Eco Intelligent Logistics and that if I sent them $22,000 they would ship me the car, but I could not see the car in advance. If I didn't like the car they would accept it back and refund my money.

Highly suspicious at that point so I called ECO Intelligent Logistics and got a message that all their customer service people were busy. I received an immediate call back from "David" from phone # 317-426-8378. I asked for his name and location, he would only provide "David". I asked to speak to his manager, he said he was the manager. When I asked to speak to his boss, he abruptly ended the call.
