I received a text that said the following;

Hello, I'm Rachel from the eBay Recruiting team.

Your profile caught our attention through multiple recruiting platforms and we believe you'd be a good fit for our current part-time remote job opportunity.

This position focuses on helping merchants on eBay manage and update their product information to increase visibility and engagement. The hours are very flexible - just 60 to 90 minutes per day, 4 days per week. You can work anywhere and will be paid between $250 and $500 per day. The base pay is $1,000 per 4 working days.

We also offer free training and 15 to 20 days of paid vacation per year in addition to all standard vacation days.

Received a text message from [email protected] claiming to be Rachel from the eBay recruiting team offering a part-time remote job opportunity. Said my profile caught their attention through multiple recruiting platforms. I am not on any recruiting platforms. The first was a women indian desent. Had me down load help desk into my phone. I asked whats this for. Im going to help you she exsclamed. Then she wanted information and when i questioned her a guy came on indian desent. Had me go into my bank account and he was in my phone but want to know some numbers after the transaction in question on ebay. It was given. So then he wanted to know about cash app. I said i dont have a hook up to that. Then he wanted to know how much was in my bank account. When asked what does that have to di with the price of eggs in china he hung up. I deleted the app from my phone calked my bank and redid my pass words. It wasnt ebay. I found out after you must text ebay and they will call you. Thank you

Type of a scam Online Purchase

There was a skid steer for sale at a nice and reasonable price and it was suppose to be on eBay. When I checked before I continued and sent money, the eBay phone # was not this number and they wanted pictures of my drivers license/selfie/and full social security #. This sent me a red flag not to continue with this purchase. I never give out this info. They do have my name /address/birth date/email address before I realized it might be a scam.

Searching for Gold Silverado truck online. When contacted seller through this website seller stated that she is getting rid of truck due to divorce , Vehicle is at Ebay warehouse in Billings MO. Once funds received $1200 for purchase seller then requested an additional $800 for insurance on vehicle transport. Purchased 5 Ebay gift cards to send for payment. Called Ebay and they stated that they do not do that and it was a scam. Scammer Name: Emily Stevens
