Was told I'll be starting work with eBay! Needless to say it was a scam! Was told to finish tasks and once I'm done I'll get paid we'll that was false. Had to send Bitcoin to offset my commission and proceed with the daily tasks ($49) well after I sent the money I proceeded with the tasks and 3 minutes later here we are again! Was told by my "recruiter" I would have to send another ($160) to finish my task and get my commission! Well I didn't proceed with that anymore, I'm out $49 but that's it! Won't happen to me again ??

I was contacted after I replied to an ad on Facebook. It was working for Ebay. It was nothing like I was told. You go to the website https://ebayworks.-us.com/ You open an account that does not' work, so u go to the chat box, there a person instructs you on how to proceed. You have to use your phone number and it assigns you an account number. It still doesn't work then she tells you to use her phone number and her account number, then all you do is click on this button that pops up saying grab orders. You are supposed to do this 38 times but at 30 it stops. When you start u are given 10 in the account. after 30 orders, it stated you have insufficient funds in the account, so you have to call customer service to clear it up then more money is sent to her account not yours. I called customer service no one answered it was a blank page. She said give it time they were busy. Thats when I realized something did not look right. So, I texted her told her to delete my account then I would delete her account. she refused stating I was losing a chance to make money. I had to send screenshots of the progress I was making, or when the account would open. So, I changed my phone number immediately. Now she is trying to get payment thru Spotify. I am getting texts saying 11,28 payments declined to Spotify. I thought I was supposed to get paid. This is a scam. Said her name was Emily. Statesville N.C.NOT A STATESVILLE NUMBER.

I ordered a product from eBay December 3rd. I was to receive it December 9th. I have not received it. I Googled eBay's phone number and called them. I thought I was communicating with eBay. I called 561-680-3907. I told them I had not received my order. They told me my account had been hacked. I said I do not have an account. The person told me to go to CVS or Walgreens and purchase an eBay Blocking card. It is a black card. Call them and read the numbers off the back. I do no know the price of the card. It did not sound right so I did not do it.

I was selling pins on ebay a buyer wanted bought 2 pins from me on 10/4/22and wanted me to send a $300 dollar gift card along with the pin wanted me to take the picture of both front and end of the gift card a recipe so I can email this to [email protected] and I did the next day they they need another $300 apple gift card so the payment on ebay would go threw and did the same again. Then they needed $780 I bought 2 1 with $500 the other $280 than emailed it. I mail 4 of those cards and 2 pins to the buyer on 10/5/22 after that I got another request for $500 I bought one for $200 the other $300 an emailed the rest. They I'd name age ssn banking information and I emailed it. Then on the 10/11/22 I got an email saying the buyers cousin was arrested because they found hard drugs in the package with the pins and 4 apple gift cards which didn't put any. It said if I don't pay in $2000 in gift cards I'll go to jail. I don't know if was even a real or fake email anymore

I called them to get a refund because I was sent the wrong item. The guy got very belligerent when I told him I was not going to give him my information. Then, the supervisor started calling me foul names and using vulgar language.

I was scam out of 2000 for a truck I purchased from eBay and never received it and I been calling and writing to them still no respond only asking for more money to get my other back

I was really in need for this car a White2005 Acura TL 64,000 miles. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES.So they said. Only to ask me for more money after I just gave paid them $800 in ebay cards.I really want to warn people of this. people are out here creating crazy stories to get peoples money.Sad I just lost my car in accident someone rear ended me. Then I get scammed while still needing a car.

On 2/12/22 I googled, ebay customer service, in order to check on an order I placed on 2/1/22. I didn't receive an email confirmation on the order so I didn't have an order number. The first site google pulled up showed the ebay logo and a number 888-292-4037. I called. The guy on the other end proceeded to tell me he found my account but not the order. He proceeded to tell me there are alot of fake sellers. He then told me he saw my account was login 3 different places and in order to close those accounts I need to make a purchase and buy a $200 ebay card. Once I bought the card they could close the other 3 accounts. This should have been a big red flag. I did as they instructed and once I gave them the gift card number, I knew this was a scam. I would consider myself a smart human being but they were very good at what they do. I even started crying on the phone with them once I knew I was scammed. He said, miss I promise everything will be ok. The guy went by the name of Mark Wilson and his direct number is 669-222-3035 and his "supervisor" called me from 669-399-3277. Thank you for your help.

I called to Ebay because I bought a pair of sneakers on December 20, 2021 since I did not receive my order I decided to open a case, I did no hear anything about it so I decided to call, when I called the customer service representative knew all my information and order details, everything was normal to me, out of nowhere that person entered to my phone and took total control of my personal Information and bank account, that person made a lot of transfers and I loose a lot of my saved money, I reported to my bank and my local police department, right now Im desperate, frustrated, panicked and I don't know what to do anymore to resolve this situation.

Placed an order to eBay, didn’t get a “tracking number” made me concerned, so I Call Ebay to get a tracking number, was told by man named “Ricky” with thick accent that I had a $500 dollar order that I didn’t purchase, was told to “go Walmart, get eBay or Google play card, add $200, to card”

I immediately knew it was a scam, told “Ricky” I was not going to get card and was going to stop payment and report to BBB, he didn’t even know what ScamPulse.com stood for, again HUGE RED FLAG!!!

Went to my bank and called all of my credit card companies, was told there was no purchases on any of my accounts and all cards were being replaced with my new married name and new credit card numbers

Thought y’all should know this

I found an offering for a car on Facebook Marketplace that seemed too good to be true, but I looked into it anyway. I sent a message to the seller who told me that it was her sister selling the car, and gave me an email address to respond to. I emailed the seller who told me the car was in perfect condition and was selling it because her son, who owned the car, had died. She had attached numerous pictures of the car as well, which looked like it was in great condition. She repeatedly ended her emails with statements like "God bless you," which made her sound more legitimate. She said the total cost was $1,000 including delivery and handling. She told me that she is selling the car through eBay Motors Buyer Protection Program and that I needed to respond with my full name, address, phone number, and email address, and then eBay would contact me to explain the procedure. Shortly after, I received the email from eBay buyer protection saying that the buyer had opened a secure online transaction with me, and it had an attachment explaining the instructions for payment. It said I needed to buy $1,000 worth of eBay gift cards and then reply back to the email with the numbers, which I did. Shortly after, I received an email from both the eBay Buyer Protection and the seller saying that there was a mistake and I needed to pay an additional refundable $800 for insurance while it was shipped, and if I didn't the entire payment would be cancelled and I wouldn't get my money back. I did this as well, thinking that it was finally done, but then I received another email asking for a $600 refundable payment for a Customs border tax for Charlotte state, which is when it became pretty obvious that something wasn't right with this. I looked up eBay car buying scams and realized that I had fallen prey into one, and I have not responded to any other emails since.

Was seeking a refund for a product I returned and ebay support lines never popped up the option properly so I tried a number that appeared on an ad:

https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjg19uXgI7yAhUK5rMKHW_IAhIYABAAGgJ... />
+1 (781) 728-9025

Then they asked me to send Bitcoin. Then convert ETH to Bitcoin and send them that. Then they asked me to convert my ETH2 to Bitcoin and send that too, but at that point I did not trust any of the official seeming verification anymore.

The crypto address that they provided was:

bc1q0yw8xkanuxnz3v5kwml8vjdxr8hl5kpwk2kqzw

They got some of my money, and they did by sending me texts that seemed to come from official services:

“eBay: Your security code is R6JGDP. It expires in 15 minutes. Do not share this code.”

And warned me that my Ebay, Coinbase, and Paypal accounts would be locked if I didn’t complete the final transaction. They had info about my account, my family members, asked for me to screenshare using two different apps (quick support and anydesk). I haven’t received a refund for my ebay purchase or for the “verification” transactions on Coinbase. Promised me a refund, but took probably about $2000 out of my Coinbase. If this actually is ebay’s process, it’s insane, if not, they need a better support experience to prevent this from happening. Their support experience was failing me and I tried a google search for an ebay number and these scammers popped up on an ad.

Provided what they claimed was an ebay badge number

I thought I was posting items for sale on eBay's Website. While processing the first item, I was asked to purchase a cash card to repair an error by eBay while applying shipping fees. This makes me believe their is a scam going on, so I have tried to shut everything down and remove all of my posting. eBay sends me messages frequently, trying to collect fee on items sold when nothing has been told. Efforts to speak with someone directly have failed; they simply will not provide a telephone number. I have tried to tell them by responding to their messages that nothing has been sold and they continue sending messages that indicate I owe them money. I cannot get them to stop!

It was found on Facebook Marketplace for 2010 Honda Civic for $1200. VIN 252DYSSGGTD4TDGDS with invoice number 5142536709875463N. I was told to get 6 EBay gift cards at $200 each. I question why I could not use my bank card, credit card or cash app card. I was told this was the way Ebay did their business. Stupid me, I did. I emailed them back and gave them the card number. They then in turn gave me an invoice that seemed legit. So now I am out of $1200. I do not know what to do.
