We should have done better research before being made fools enough to reluctantly pay $475 with no base price to go off of in the SF Bay area, only for "Tom" (no last name since he was reluctant to give me one during Zelle payment after the cleaning was done) and a Latino man, who did the actual sweep, to show up 2 hrs prior to initial scheduling, shoddy inspection (a look through an iPhone camera with flashlight enabled to see whatever the consultant could in our chimney for a couple minutes), and half-assed cleaning.
After the half-assed inspection, "Tom" proceeded to have the Latino man, who was scoping our home and other neighbors home standing oddly outside until called in, to clean our chimney while whispered cleaning instructions by "Tom" which I couldn't hear well. All that was brought in was a dirty bedsheet to cover only the fireplace floor area, a wet/dry shop vac, to " clean" our chimney.
About an hr later, another guy shows up at the originally planned time frame, upset that another coworker had taken this job.
