Doosan Group SCAM

I received a text like everyone else stating I had an interview for a job paying $25.00. They used the name Nancy Stevens, HR Manager. Interview on Skype. I stated, "I need 1 hour to prepare." I searched for all the names and sure enough, I found Scampulse. Thanks to everyone posting comments on this page. I am always skeptical if someone wants to interview me without a verbal phone screening first. I think Careerbuilder is NOT doing a good job of allowing postings for jobs. The number used was 469 481 1322

Clearly scamming, and the interviewer will get nervous when they ask to provide a contract, before sending money to buy equipment. You will speak to no one verbally, and please pay attention to the absurd email address names. Below are a couple documents sent to me after an hour and a half of a fake interview.

I received a text from someone claiming to be the hiring manager of “Doosan group” making $30hr and that they found my information on indeed. Once I told them I wasn’t interested because it was a scam, I never heard back from them Thankfully.

I get about one scam text a week saying they saw my resume on Career Builders. All are very similar; The companies they say they represent are large global companies easily found on line so it appears legit. They want to do a text interview now which I agree to. Questions are softball. (Almost like what is the color of George Washington's white horse)They always say great answers. They will notify HR about me. An hour later I am hired. They'll send me a check for $2,000 for computer supplies. I am to keep $150 and send the rest to the company they designate. I asked the first company why don't you just buy the computers and they said this way they can verify that I am a good and honest person. In this first case I found reviews for the Interview for that company on Glassdoor. There was a posting about how unusual their text interview was but they said it worked out. I almost bought it but when they said they'll send me a check I knew it was a scam. Of course anybody can post that on Glassdoor.
The last few I have called them out on their scam.
Noteworthy they all say the salary is about $28/ hour but $24 during training. The jobs I am applying for are for remote data entry, although salaries like that are possible but not probable.

In one case they used the name of an actual employee of the company they represented and I managed to find his number while I was responding to the interview. I told him what was happening, sent him a screen shot using his name and title. He was obviously surprised.

I have attempted to notify the companies so they know that their company name is being used nefariously. One company thanked me while others didn't respond at all.
As I write this, I just got two new invitations for an interview.

I was also recruited to attend an interview via Skype and I did and I thought the interview was okay. I only got suspicious when Mr Westwood asked me to buy a tracker from an unknown vendor through Bitcoin. I kept on asking why do they use Bitcoin for purchases he couldn’t answer. I started to feel uneasy and I did not send any funds to them

Being contacted by Fake Rep from Doosan

I applied on career builder for some jobs.. Then I started receiving text messages from a Robert jamie.. He claimed to be a hiring manager.. He wants to do a Skype interview and make a job offer.. My history with this kind of stuff led me to this website, and I hope that you can stop these fake job scammers…

Was hired from Doosan Group

They interviewed me on WhatsApp and offered me the job. $35.75 an hour from home. Sounded amazing.
They want to send me a check, keep $150 as a sign on bonus and use the rest to purchase a computer and software.
They apparently didn’t like that my Bank is Wells Fargo, so they asked me for access to my credit cards. They said they would pay off the balance so I could buy the equipment through their vendor.

I got a text message saying they had a position for me and to download telegram so they can conduct an interview ok did that they gave me. The job said the need to email me a check for the equipment that I’ll need to work did so and it wouldn’t go through with my bank account then the end up mailing a check it goes through then when he asked do I have zelle or Apple Pay so he asked if I could zelle 500 to some lady then Apple Pay her 1000 that when I knew I messed up and it was a scam and the crazy part is I really wanted n need that job because I lost mine do to covid

I’m going thru the same thing ?? I was offended a data entry position…interview went good, but this next step has me feeling some kind of way! She has said several times to send whatever I could afford, and they emailed me a check for $2,200, and I said if this is the case I cld print my own checks so swear legit! I’m so glad I did my research…god ppl s[censored]! These companies that provide employment and job offers like CareerBuilder they shouldn’t let ppl and companies like Doosan to post employment opportunities…can’t even look for a dang job these days…everything S[censored]! Pls excuse my b[censored] fit…carry on.

I am going through this scam now and I was wondering how you handled this issue? I have received 2 checks from them already and started to dig into this a little more and found out this was a scam and I really need help trying to find out what I need to do now. I just want to make sure I do not get into any type of legal trouble with this thing. Could you please explain how you were able to get through this issue?

They texted my phone offering me a job offer then had me text them on telegram. I asked how they found me they said my qualifications on indeed led them to me but someone told me they don’t never actually text your phone. But then they proceeded with sending me a check for $4,750 for equipment but the routing number is fake.

I received a text out of the blue from a Mr.Paul McConnell and HR representative by the name of Trena Harris. They sent some interview questions and the told me to wait 15-20 minutes while they review my answers. Then proceeded to offer me a job. Same scenario as above. Why do people do this [censored]. Repulsive and disgusting behavior and character. Would love to find the person behind these emails and have them caught for this company using their name and creating a fraudulent act.

I was contacted thru text message offering me this employment opportunity; since I have been applying for several positions, it seems natural that I was contacted; I later realized that I never applied for this particular company. I was interviewed over Telegram and was told I got the position. Later, I was told that the position required for me to have certain types of hardware and software and that the company will pay for them, they will sent me a direct deposit and Ill have to take care of the logistics and everything else; the odd part is that I was told to pay this vendor thru Cashapp or Zelle, the whole situation seemed off and I ended up rejecting the offer.
