I was looking to buy a puppy online. The agent initially was very helpful and assured me that I could get my money back at any point during the adoption process. I told her that I wanted to meet the dog before deciding to buy and we made an appointment to see the dog. After I put down a deposit for a dog meet-and-greet, suddenly the story changed. The agent then canceled the appointment, said I misunderstood the agreement, announced she had moved out of state, never refunded my money, and I never heard from them again.
