The caller never said what agency or organization he was from. The caller John sounded like he was not American. He called from (904) 621-7755 number but the phone call instructed me to call a (714) 784-5315 number. There was a woman's voice on the second half of the phone message and she sounded American but her voice could have been pre-recorded and maybe using AI. I searched the (714) 784-5315 number on Google and saw it was reported as a scam on 9/24/24. I got my phone calls and texts from them on 9/25/24 so I believe this is an active scam. There is no doubt in my mind that they got my info from Facebook because they also contacted my Dad and his wife, and our only documented connection is on Facebook. They couldn't have gotten my Dad's wife connection with me from anywhere other than Facebook. I suspect they are trying to scam their political rivals on Facebook. Please investigate this as attempted wire fraud because had I contacted the scammer, they likely would have tried to get me to send them money like they did to the person who reported (714) 784-5315 to ScamPulse.com on 9/24/24
