My son needed to take the online Florida driver's permit exam. dmvflorida.org came up as a site option to take this exam. It requested a great deal of personal information, including my son's whole SSN. I stupidly gave it thinking it was necessary because it was related to getting a learner's permit. They also have my license number and credit card number. Upon clicking "begin exam", my son was redirected to a page that said they could not verify his eligibility to take the exam. The only option to communicate with the company is to "chat" or fill out a form ("email"). There is no customer service number or email available. The answer we received on the chat was that they were having technical difficulties on their end and to try again 24 hours later. Three days later the issues still persisted. My son needed to take the exam so I paid for it on another website. This alternative website only asked for the last 5 digits of his SSN. That is when I knew our personally identifiable information was likely stolen. I requested a refund from dmvflorida.org. We'll see if they process it.

I went online to obtain my driving record and the site states dmvflorida.org. So unfortunately I thought it was safe. Paid for driving record but never received anything. There is no phone number or email to contact them. So no way to request the report or refund. I did further research to find they sell your personal information.
