Saw social post (5/22/25) about retailer's popular product via survey. Survey landing page looked just like retail site. Took short survey and at the end, there were options on product stock and color to select. Selected product and filled name/credit card info. Transaction came as odd name and realized it was scam. Called credit card company to dispute pending transaction but since it was still pending as of today (5/22/25), would have to call card company once posted so they can start dispute process.

Had recently made purchases at a Dicks Sporting Goods store, then received this email looking like it was from Dick's Sporting Goods about being chosen for a free YETI cooler prize. Pay shipping and handling to receive gift. I then stupidly paid $1.95 for shipping. The next thing i know my debit card is being charged for $99.95 that I did not authorize.

Called my bank and they are investigating as fraudulent. My bank statement listed the following:

CRD PUR MDJH1PX24 3027 / TRIUMPH DEALS F 833-2991981 CA POINT OF SALE DEBIT

I was even given an order number, but when I tried to email them it was not a legitimate email address.
