They from DestinationsResortsWorldwide.com called my number to ask if I wanted to sell my 'get away' weeks through my Hilton Grand Vacation Club timeshare. My mom had just passed away and they said that my mom did this last year.

They were very thorough, very organized and gave me contact info as well.

They sent over electronic documents for me to sign as well as a contract.

Two days ago I received a call from them to ask again if I wanted to rent out my places and I told them I already did. This made me suspicious.

Today I called to check in and the number for my rental advisor, xxxxxx xxxxxx, was out of service. I then called the main number and was told a customer service rep would call me back.

I then searched this company and found others complaining about not receiving payment and that this was likely a scam.

Caller identified as a senior broker on behalf of Destinations Resorts worldwide offering to rent out RCI getaway weeks without affecting ClubWyndam Owner Points. Is scary how they had all the information on the ownership. The pitch was for a special event in August that needed accomodations for over 60 people and renting from club owners would be a cheaper option for the group and also booking would be time sensitive. Broker asked for an upfront cost payment of $399 for each week up to 6, in exchange for a contract of a guaranteed payout of $1,800 rent per week and passed on the call to legal department to record a verbal confirmation for the bank ahead of an offical Docusign of contract. I decided to call RCI directly to verify the offer and their policy is no rentals allowed. Their website looks new and the numbers they called from ( ###-###-####, ###-###-####) differ from their website number (###-###-####) . My bank put a stop payment and I had to submit a claim for fraud. No money was taken out thankfully. Club Wyndham/RCI owners beware!
