When being interviewed/brought in I noticed that the contract I was asked to sign demanded that I had to give a 4 week notice but they could fire me at will. When I asked what the potential consequences for quitting with a short or no notice I was told it would depend on my manager and couldn't be given a concrete example as to the consequences of quitting without a month notice. This made me more suspicious as there were other suspicious verbiage in the contract like not getting paid until a month in that had me suspect it was a scam. It seemed too good to be true, and I didn't sign the contract.
