Concerning a civil litigation issue. Every time I attempted to call the number left only a busy signal. I emailed them and got a return email from a Mr Lawson ( kept) saying I needed to call him.
I used someone else phone and they seemed shocked and wanted to know what phone number it was. They transferred me to Lawson who claimed I owed HBSC and it was over due and ready to turn over for court. Which a lean would be placed on my house or account. But if I paid 2,700 by Monday it would be resolved. He stated he didn’t have to provide any information as it was sent to my old address and was never returned. He sent a letter saying I needed to pay by Monday and an account to pay via email. ( all saved)
I called HBSC and via their research there is no account via the number they had on the account as original creditor. I called Wyoming Secretary of State who has no documents of a VPS pre litigation at that address. I called Wyoming banking commissioner office who says VPS pre litter VPS are not licensed in Wyoming to collect debts. Wyoming AG sent complaint to FTC. Sheridan sheriff department states that address is used for multiple business including scams. I sent certified letter to such address that they claim on their webpage and letter to collect. Letter was returned no such business. ( again I kept will submit to FTC.) Between all the violations the banking commission obviously should get involved and the FTC

They called me wanting me to verify my info, saying they are trying not to bring this legal case against me in my county. When I refused to verify, they said "that's fine, we will just send out a uniformed officer to process". I told them to put it in the mail or stop calling me and hung up. They called back and said the calls won't stop, as they are not a collection agency. I reiterated- "do what you have to do." I called back to verify the name of the company and told them I was reporting them. I spoke to Candace Taylor -VPS

Michael Lawson from VPS pre litigation services left a harassing voicemail threatening my wages and threatening my personal residence was at risk because GA is a community property state. The debtor they are looking for is actually my EX husband. Mr. Lawson took the time to look up my personal residence, cite the address, and then threaten me that my home was at risk; however, he did NOT do the due diligence to first verify that I am no longer married to the debtor and actually have been divorced from the debtor for 21 years. My personal residence that he threatened is actually owned by myself and current husband of 10 years. I kept the harassing voicemail for documentation.
