The company called me several times claiming that I owed payment for a loan that I didn't take out. I called them to confirm that I did not take out a loan through their bank and they asked me my name, address, and date of birth. After being asked for my full social security number, I became suspicious and would not give them any further information. They claimed that they were going to close the account. Letters from them started to come in the mail to me every other week first in English, then in Spanish, and I called two more times to address this. They always asked me to verify personal information. The last communication was a certified letter sent in the mail stating that I owed a payment of $150.27 for a loan. They were called one final time and stated that they could help close the account but needed personal information and I hung up. This is a real bank that is associated with Verizon Wireless that I have an account with so I called them and they had no records of any loans for my account.
