I applied for a job or so I thought. I received a text and honestly my scam radar was high on alert because all school business comes from a school account to your school account. Personal account was stressed repeatedly, so I began researching! It’s a scam! Block and report immediately!

I was contacted by someone from my college (Walden University) email, about a possible part-time job position for $550 a week. Thinking that it was "okay" since the email was from my school, I proceeded to fill out the form with my personal information (i.e., phone number, email address, and house address). Today I received a text (which I blocked before submitting this form) stating to check my personal email address for further information pertaining to the job position. When I opened the email, it stated, "Hello, Top of the hour to you...Concerning the school part time Job that you have applied for, I am glad to congratulate you as your position has been confirmed, daily schedules working remotely as part time/full time. Assistant Manager Duties and Responsibilities *Donation *Schedule meetings

*Book travel and accommodations

*Perform market research where applicable

*Purchase supplies

First Task:

I make donations to orphanage homes every month. You will handle the orphanage homes Purchase Supplies. I will email you the list of every task and all the necessary information. I will provide the funds which you will use for every task . As soon as you have received the Fund payment, you will deduct your paid weekly allowance ($550) payment from it and you will use the rest to complete your task.

NOTE: It's a Flexible part-time job where you will determine your working time. All the tasks are work from home/on campus job, you don't need to travel somewhere and also you don't need to have a car to get started.

Reply back with information required below not to proceed with your task.

Okay, so I get this email from a SCHOOL EMAIL. Saying that this was a “part-
Time job” and that it was for the school I attended. It said something about “personal assistant”. To some up all up he sent a Mobile deposit to my email, and TELL ME WHY MY BANK ACCOUNT GOT CLOSED BECAUSE OF THIS [censored]!?! Like…. It’s just too much. Talking about some “the kids” BS. He tried so hard to get me to send him so money LOLLLL.

P.S. my bank account got close because of the Mobile deposit…

I got an email saying he was a man who needed a personal assistant and he was going to send me a check to electronically deposit into my bank then was going to have me buy stuff for a donation he was going to make. I looked up online if it was a scam and i blocked him immediately.
