A Facebook Group called Daschund Puppies for Adoption and Rehoming has many dogs listed for sale/rehoming. I was interested in a dog from a contributor called Daschund Pups for Adoption. I ask the moderator of the main group if the seller was safe. He was a top contributor and had thousands of star ratings from FB. The main FB Group "Nick Patrick" said he was a safe person to buy from and was dependable. I paid $350 to the business acct number, which popped up after as Raphael Rico. was supposed to pick up the dog today from Columbus, OH to Cleveland got 1/2 way there and received a message that the seller Mark Leonard had a family emergency and would ship the dog to me. Then received an email from Cargo Express Agency stating that they needed $600 for an electric crate to ship the dog and that the fee was 95% refundable after the dog was delivered. I contacted the seller and they tried to scam me by saying that he used the $350 I already sent for his pregnant daughter. He said he would see if he could borrow the rest from his wife to send the dog. He "borrowed" $200... and I got another email from Cargo Express Agency stating the seller had paid :200 and they needed $400 more. Obviously, a scam. I called "Mark" out and his FB disappeared, as well as both FB groups and I was blocked.
