- Henderson, NV, USA

Daschund Home poses as a legitimate husband and wife breeder specializing in dachshund puppies. Their website is beautifully developed, and are upfront about the terms and conditions which appear to make the business legitimate. Contact was made through their form filled submission via their website. Within 24 hours I was contacted and had an engaging conversation about the puppy. Where the scam begins is at the time you make the payment for the puppy, the woman continues to send you pictures as if she is taking it to the local Texarkana regional airport for shipment. Once there she asks for us to stay by the phone in the event we have additional questions. Payment for the puppy was made based on the contract Initiated of $800. The morning of flight transfer of the puppy from Texarkana to Nevada the seller uses another company which is connected to the scam called express shipping. Again after detailed research, their website looks legitimate, which is all upfront. The seller leaves the airport so they say and then the Shipping company contacts us and says it will be $2000 to create the animal which typically the breeder takes care of. They assure you that it is a refundable deposit upon receipt of the puppy however, the only forms of payment are non-retrievable, i.e. cash app, Apple Pay. After inquiries with the seller, she became very hostile and at one point offered to pay $1000 of the deposit provided that once I received the puppy, I would pay the other half of the deposit for the crate that I would then return her money back to her. All details of communication have been obtained via text, along with all screenshots that map out the full scam.

After further research, it was determined that the puppy I was buying was presented via pictures that the scammers pulled from multiple websites. Including the picture of her in the seat on the way to the airport to be shipped. I attempted to contact the phone numbers that communicated with me only to receive disconnections.

This is a major operation that they have going on and quite sophisticated I might say. I have filed a fraud claim with Zelle and Wells Fargo at this time and I’m doing diligence so that no other individual gets taken advantage of by this scam.
