First I saw the job offer on snagajob.com, the next morning I received a text from this number ** ***** ********* the person asked me if I was still interested in a job as a customer service rep at “Dalton Pharma Services” I said yes, then I was asked to download the app “hangouts” and add [email protected] for”Mrs. Mary Hopper” to be added to contacts so we could do an interview. Long story short, I passed the interview. Then was told I’ll need to wait to receive their check. Once I get this check, I’m supposed to deposit it and then buy a printer, scanner, fax machine and an Apple computer. I am supposed to send another text in the morning to await further instructions. I didn’t know what kind of scam this was so I looked it up. It’s common on hangouts and they send a fake check. You will be on the hook for depositing a bad check from what I understand.
