Applied online for America Alrlines Bank of America Card. Was not accepted. Letter sent stating action needed. Provided personal info including ss#. Was confirmed for credit card. All seemed good until I thought to Google after the fact the phone number and email used that didn't seem legit. Ugh!

email stated address was updated...and to call if you did not do this...also link to review change was used for the b of a application to open...we don't have b of a accounts...we didn't call the phone number...looks like they are trying to get your address

Scammer called claiming to be from Bank of America fraud department looking into suspicious activity. Before reviewing the activity, scammer sent code via text and email which he said was to verify me as the principal account holder. Scammer asked me to read him the code. Then he asked about two charges which I said I had not made. He said he was cancelling my account and sending new credit cards. Minutes later I received email saying I was approved for a new Apple Pay account, which I did not want. I called Bank of America and had my card cancelled for real.
