I had a young adult come to my house advertising their washing window business and he was on foot - no vehicle - and when I asked where their vehicle/equipment was, he stated it was up at the top of the development and walked down. That should have been my first indication it was a scam, he said they could offer to wash all my windows, which would include the sills and around the window for 175.00 because they were in the development. He said the prices is normally 250.00. I said can you come back new week and he said no, it had to be the next day in order to get the price. I was trusting and said ok, and I told him I was out of town over the weekend and he said it was fine, most customers are not home when they do the windows. I received a text Saturday 10/12/24 that they arrived. There was no vehicle and my video camera picked up two tapings. They were done in an hour and I have over 20 windows, 2 floors. When I recieved the text with the invoice, I stated thank you. 2 hours later, I was harrassed to pay or I would incurr a 20.00 late fee if not paid in the 24 hours. I have lots of texts stating I wanted to review the work before I paid, but the employee via text was very demanding and I did not want to incur a 20.00 late fee so I paid it. I was told if I am not satisficed with the service, they would come back no problem. I arrived home on 10/14/24 and I was so upset. Majority of my windows has water stains, the sills on half the windows are dirty and not cleaned and 2 windows were not cleaned. I reached out all week and they basically ignored my dissatisfaction and I requested to have the owner call me, no call, I requested a refund of the 175.00 no response. I texted all week from 10/15 to 10/19 and no luck. I did reach out to my neighbors and no one was aware of this company. The guy who had approached me on Friday 10/11 said they did 2 houses in the neighborhood. False. I was scammed by young men adults to claim they were a small business company. The fact they demanded payment, I should have known, but I was giving them the benefits until I got home. I am not sure how I can get a refund or them to come back and comply with the bad service.
