I recently opened a LLC i recieved a letter with a bill for $148.22. I wrote the check to Compliance DFS. It appears it was signed and deposited by a cell phone. Unfortanetly i through the mail away after paying the so-called bill. This is very unfortunate, and I'm sure others are getting scammed as well.

Received a “bill” from this company for $132 to obtain a deed on a property. The letter/bill stated “US homeowners obtain a copy of current property assessment profile and current grant deed…” from this company. At the bottom of this letter was a bill and instructions how to pay it.
