We went to a Fall Festival where they were holding an adoption event. While we were there, we met a dog that was super calm and no one had applied for. We applied, were approved and picked him up the next day. He is advertised as 7 mos old and good with kids. We did take him to the vet and she noted that he was closer to 1 year old already. At first, he was good. Showed signs of being skiddish, anxious. A month went by and he started showing signs of aggression towards me and my young daughter. I reached out to the rescue and they were able to take him back. They have a 2 week turnaround time for the adoption fee to be fully refunded if you have to return a dog. We made it a little over a month. We looked at his new listing and he is still advertised as 7 mos old and good with kids. A $500 adoption fee that may have a dog returned multiple times past the 2 weeks (no refunds and they keep the money) since they are advertising him incorrectly seems very shady and suspicious.
