I had the same experience as the others. I applied via Indeed for their remote positions, then was emailed a week later regarding the open data entry position. Was told to contact them through Signal, (a Google app), which I did. Was asked if I could do the job, how I want to be paid and then given a list of equipment I would need. I researched if this was a scam and it looked that way so I called the company, and left a message. The person (Karen Luna) I was interviewing with told me she wasn't in a place to disclose their new locations. Stay away from this company. It's a total scam. My guess is they gather your social and bank information then steal your identity and any $$ you might have in your bank.

I received an email asking to download the Signal app for an interview for a remote position that I had applied to on Glassdoor. I contacted Nicole Fajardo thru the app as my email asked. I thought it odd to do a text interview, but I went along with it. I know times are changing with the way the world conducts business. After going thru the “texting” process I was offered a job. She told me a check would be mailed out to me to purchase the equipment at a vendor they use. I texted her I did not feel comfortable with cashing a check that large and asked if she could call the equipment order in and I would pick it up. I asked a few times who the vendor was & if I could speak with her directly. I never received a response after that. I also tried calling the Billing, MT # and could not get anyone on the phone. It is hard enough these days trying to find a job. It’s more frustrating and disheartening that people are trying to take advantage of someone looking for honest work.

I applied for a remote administrative assistant position with Clark Marten Photography on Indeed. I received an email back saying they would like to interview me and asked me to connect on the messaging platform signal. I contacted the reported hiring manager and got a weird vibe from the tone of the messages as well as the website she gave. Upon further research I discovered the real Clark Marten Photography website and the note on the ScamPulse.com site that people were falsely using their name to advertise job openings.

Same as others posted on indeed, applied and “interviewed” me over messages then said they’d send me a check

I'm looking for a remote job off indeed.com. This employer that seems legit wants me to buy the equipment with a check they will mail. I asked if I can sign legal documents for the job first and they said no. I have to purchase equipment with the check they will mail and then I will fill out the employment documents. This sounds very illegal to me. I have all the screenshots saved in hopes to catch this imposter.

they promoted themselves on Indeed as a fully remote customer service company. Eventually, they reached out to me for a "interview" via the Signal app where they sent generated questions that multiply other people have posted on the internet as well from similar experiences. They told me I was hired and sent a fake $5,000 check in the mail the next morning to "buy equipment". It's a lot to type, but don't waste your time.

I applied for a job from Clark Marten Photography and was contacted 5 days later for a "text" interview. I was informed of the responsibilities and duties and was asked would I be able to handle the tasks of the position. Then I was asked why should they hire me, my location, what bank I use for direct deposits and how would I like to be paid "weekly or bi-weekly" and can I work long hours or flexible hours. Then they proceeded to tell me I got the job and I passed the hiring score with a 8 out of ten. Then I was sent a text with a list of materials I would need to work from home. I asked if I needed to purchase all those materials and why is there a certain laptop required. They responded back saying those materials are needed for the job and they will send me a check to purchase the items. I responded great how will I receive the check and there was no more responses.
