Pulled up in parking lot claiming that Best Buy gave him one too many for an installation project, and doesn’t want to take it back to his boss only to not gain anything. Offered a Claria CLR45 projector and separate projection screen package, displayed the product on his phone on what appeared to be BestBuy.com. Upon checking when home there is no such product on BestBuy, and I found that other scams have occurred in this area and with this product, which is not what it appears to be in specs, but a low-end projector. There even seems to be a fake ClariaProjectors.com website that he used to support it, with high-end specs and MSRP.

Guy claiming to work for a company installing high end projectors and that he had an extra one because the shipping company made a mistake. A legitimate looking website claiming that the product was expensive and the highest quality, it wasn’t high quality just regular HD 1080p, was how it reeled you in but was clearly too good to be true and I fell for it and got scammed.
