My husband was contacted through his work email saying they needed to speak with him about an urgent matter. He called them and they asked his name and phone number. They then told him his address so he thought this was legit. They claimed we owed money to "City Financial" and they were a "3rd party vendor company". They said this was a "forceful recovery" and that they would be issuing a "30% wage garnishment" and filing charges of Theft by Deception, Malicious Intent to Defraud, Breech of Contract if we did not pay. Said our last payment to the company was March 22, 2022. After checking our bank statements, we found the only payment we made on 3/22/2022 was to Citizens Pay for our Vivint security equipment. Verified with them that we had a zero balance with them (paid in full). Only other Citi Financial card we had was Best Buy which was also paid in full. When we tried to call them back at (833) 795-5753 to have them send a debt verification letter, they became verbally abusive. This is clearly a scam.

877-245-7020 and 323-606-0563 call and harass my work and cell phone. They claim I have a debt under my maiden name (which I havent had in over 10 years). They refuse to provide any proof of debt and they are verbally aggressive. I advised them that I filed bankruptcy over 10 years ago and told them even if the debt is valid, they are not legally allowed to contact me but they refuse to listen or take my attorney 's information.
