Matthew Cruz called claiming to be the Manager from Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa Credit Card. He gave an employee number of JPMC********. He stated a transaction was made at MidwayUSA.com for $2990. He said Chase received an application 9/22/26 and they issued a card on 10/1/26. He said the card number was **** **** **** **** but I do not have a Chase card account. He told me to contact the NYPD and use reference number CRW-****. He transferred me directly to the police department and spoke with NYPD officer Ashley Rodrijguez. She said her hotline number is 646-610-5000 and her badge number is ****. She said it was the 33rd District NYPD. I did not give information but they knew my name, phone and the last two digits of my SSN. They said they would investigate and call me back. I did not supply them with any personal information.
