Type of a scam Employment

I’ve been targeted by scammers about job positions other times, but this job scam is the most intricate one I’ve seen! You can usually tell almost immediately it’s a scam when they want you to deposit a check then send the money back, but these scammers have created a website, a employee portal, everything looks legit and credible including the Offer of Employment, you communicate via Telegram, you take a test, they take their time and act as though this is a real position with a W-4 to fill out, an employee ID # is issued as well as a sign in name and password for a legitimate looking Employee Portal (with a .org URL) you can Google Harris Pharmaceutical with a “.org” URL, you “communicate” with different “employees” from different “departments” and they take their time (at least 2-3 days before they bring up sending you a check for $930 to “print, cut out and deposit into your Mobile Banking” in order to purchase some type of Software Subscription. I had been suspicious, but the Employee Portal is really good, so I decided to send “Sarah” a message on Telegram saying I couldn’t find a phone number for Harris Pharmaceutical, so if she could kindly provide me with one before I deposit the check into my account, so I could verify my employment with the HR department. “Sarah” read my message and for the first time, she did not immediately respond. Today I sent “Sarah” a message letting her know I reported this whole job scam to the Better Business Bureau along with names, addresses, and our conversations. Immediately upon reading, “Sarah” disappeared from my Telegram. They did get away with information such as my full name, home address, phone number, gender, email address, but I did not give my social security number or any banking information (they never asked for either). Harris Pharmaceutical is listed as a generic drug company for dermatology, in Fort Myers, Florida, but when “Nell Baites” sent the check, it was from “him” not Harris Pharmaceutical, and had a Huntsville, Alabama address on it.
