Every day at about 1:00pm MST I get a recorded call from "Carmen at Cardmember Services" on my home (landline) telephone. Every day the call is coming from a different telephone number. Once I tried to ask the company to put them in my do not call list. When the rep answered the phone, he hung up on me as soon as I started asking to be on the do not call list. Now, after reading internet information, I know that this is a pervasive robo call issue nationwide. I always answer the call, because I can't tell that it's "Carmen" until I answer, but then I immediately hang up. It's been going on for a long time, and it's very annoying. I work from home, so I have to answer my calls.

This company uses an automated dialer to initiate the call.

It is a recording says their name is Rachel and indicates the availability of a lowered interest rate and prompts to press one to speak to a representative.

The call is then forward to a live operate.

The operator will claim to be a calling from my bank and reference my “Visa and Master Card” accounts.

The operator will reference the phone number on the back of the card as a call back number.

The operator will ask for the highest balance amount.

The operator will ask for a credit card number.

The operator will not transfer to a supervisor.

The operator will not remove from a call list.

The operator, will on occasion, use profanity when they figure out I am trying to waste as much of their time as possible.

i received a letter from CARDMEMBER SERVICES P>O> Box 6254 Fargo, ND 58125-6354. it read that they were having a difficult time changing the address on my credit card account per my request, 1. I had not asked for a change of address. 2. When I called, the only question was please enter your credit card number so we can further help you.!!!! nope. unsigned, but, ended with Sincerely,,,,Laykin R. they also had the last 4 digits of my account number .

An automated call from "Cardmember Services" claiming to offer low credit card rates but with no identifying info. Telephone on the caller ID is 863-777-2311. Reverse lookup and internet search indicates a scammer business located in Lakeland, Florida.

These calls have been going on for FIVE YEARS even though we are on the national "Do Not Call" registry. I have older relatives and am very concerned that these calls will deliberately confuse them. The calls are deliberately misleading. Not to mention a gigantic waste of time.

Today I finally pressed '1' and waited to talk to a live person. I told them to take me off their list and he called me a "***" and started yelling at me. I hung up.

A recording from "***" from "Cardmember Services" calles and mentiones that I'm elligible to lower my interest rate. If I'm interested, press 1 or to be removed from the list, press 9. Pressing 9 does nothing except disconnect the call and they will call back another day. If you press 1 and ask to be put on their do not call list, they hang up and call back another day. If you ask for a Manager or Supervisor, they hang up and call back another day. This has been going on for several years.
