When I was told to make the check payable to an individual rather than to Capital Overhead, I became concerned. I informed the repairman that I was not comfortable making a check out to someone I had never spoken with previously, and that I felt he had misrepresented himself. Since he was not with the garage door company that had previously serviced my door, I declined to pay and asked him to leave.
He identified himself as “Adam,” and the number he called me from was 706-267-2136.
