I placed an order for two pairs of shoes that looked very nice on the website and the company's name was Mayberry North Carolina. The shoes were shipped from China. They were very flimsy and did not offer the orthopedic support that was advertised. I began the return process it took several emails before I could finally get authorization to even make the return then I paid $50 to ship the shoes to China, which was in the return policy and my order made it through customs in China on April 23, 2026. I just reached back out to the company because I still have not received my refund credit and the company doesn’t exist. Their website is gone. The email bounced back and leaves me no recourse to continue to attempt to get a refund.

I ordered sandals from the website. Immediately when I removed them from the package I could see they were very low quality, had a strong smell, and the buckle on the sandals didn't function. The buckle was attached to a single strap without the ability to attach it to anything! I emailed the company asking to return, then received two emails trying to convince me to keep the shoes for a discount. When I twice refused they told me I had to ship them back to China at my expense and pay a 15% restocking fee.

I was looking for a dress for my daughter's graduation. These dresses came up as choices under the "shopping" tab on Google. I clicked on them, saw that it was a company from North Carolina (which was untrue), and ordered 2 dresses.

After a few days, the dresses had not left the warehouse. I asked to cancel the order. I was told I could not. I asked again when the dresses still hadn't arrived. After 17 days (and after the event), the dresses arrived. Both dresses were of horrible quality. You can see through them. (I attached one picture.) I contacted the company 6 times. I asked for refund information. I was never given any. The only reply I got said that I could get more merchandise for an additional $14.95 per piece. I replied to that email detailing that I didn't want any more merchandise, I just wanted my money back.

online store masquerading as US-based, women-owned clothing store. Images are photoshopped, saturated and changed to appear higher quality than what they are selling. Operates as AMSTUDIO with offices are in Belgium and China. Targets middle aged and older women potentially vulnerable to scams. Can’t find a single article about the three women founders or their stories as told through their ‘about us’ page. Doubt they are in the US, doubt the products are made here, doubt it’s even owned by women. The entire website is a scam

This website presents as 40 something women who built a company for shoes and clothing. They sell their shoes as orthotics. The shoes received are not orthotics, very cheap, and not at all as advertised. You cannot get in touch with anyone and the only way to return is to ship to China. The company is not as it presents itself.

Misleading website claims to be in Belgum, Shipping label received shows a SCAM California Address. Return policy is rediculous and wants you to return it to China, and pay a restocking Fee! To Top it all off the Product is crap and has no lableing as to the materials used on the shoes. I guess I'll donate to Goodwill, but I doubt anyone would buy them !!!!

- Fort Mill, SC, USA • May 15, 2026

Advertise easy return within 30 days. Your satisfaction always comes first. Then when you try to return they offer 20% to avoid the hassle of sending things back to China. Also charge you to send things back. Complete scam. Products are not as described.

- Massapequa Park, NY, USA • Apr 22, 2026

Would not share return process. Shoes were completely unworn and in their original packaging. I provided photos and answered all the questions they asked but they kept offering to send me additional items if I paid shipping. Beware!

- Dayton, OH, USA • Apr 22, 2026

The advertised photo was not what I got.

- Tucson, AZ, USA • Apr 18, 2026

Sandals were ordered stating they were leather but received a cheap pair of rubber flip-flops. They are nothing like what is represented and I did see other complaints where others did not receive the specific product they ordered but cheap imitations.

- Morgan City, LA, USA • Apr 07, 2026

I purchased two dresses. They didn’t fit well. The company said it really didn’t want me to return them and offered a credit. I said no- wanted to return. The address is in China to return the dresses and would cost almost $50 to ship them back at the cheapest rate.

AVOID Mayberry clothing from Bymayberry.com. They claim to be out of North Carolina when they're actually in China. The shoes I ordered were supposed to be leather they were this terrible type of fabric that smelled awful tried to contact them via email for a refund or how to get a refund and I've not heard back. They don't have a customer service number either. Absolute scam!! After I purchased and checked here for reviews, I should have done that first. Apparently from what I've read, you have to pay for the return back to China...not North Carolina, but China! Orthopedic, leather shoes my butt! Total waste of money. I lost $76.

I ordered a gorgeous midi dress (cream or ivory) from ByMayberry.com. The dress arrived VERY cheap, not structured as pictured. It also arrived with two defects that were visible on the light-colored fabric and thus unwearable. I reached out via email to [email protected] and did eventually hear back but was strong armed into washing the item myself and accept the item. Then they offered 15% return and keep the item, then it was 20% off and keep the item. I continued to tell them that the dress was unwearable and I didnt feel comfortable washing an item to see if the two stains were unwearable. I eventually told them if I didnt get a refund and return at no cost to me, I was reporting them.

- Bayonne, NJ, USA • Apr 01, 2026

I ordered two vests from ByMayberry.com, size L, one grey, one green. It takes almost a month for the to arrive. They're both slightly too small to wear. the next size up XL is way too large according to their dimensions. So i'm trying to return them. Every email to [email protected] is responded to with a form letter, and their customer service phone number (980) 317-2472 is ALWAYS busy.

So now I have to report them to my credit card company to try to get a refund for the $110.50 I lost.

- Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, USA • Apr 01, 2026

I thought this was the printed Mayberry catalog from ByMayberry.com. It is NOT. I ordered over $460 worth of merchandise but requested by email to [email protected] to cancel right away. No response. Research online shows their Belgium address is a candy shop, their China address is a scam, their phone number is not valid, and the clothing you get (if it ever comes) is not what as pictured. They say on their website you can cancel within 30 minutes of the order but they do not respond. I reported them to the FBI, also.

- Los Angeles, CA, USA • Mar 26, 2026

The clothing sold on this website, bymayberry.com, is not what you end up getting. The material the colors are not the same. It took over two weeks to receive my item. I contacted the company immediately when I received it as they said to email them at [email protected] if you want to return. I told them the exact problem and sent them a picture that the product online is light tan and it is a thick sweater. I was sent a yellow thin sweater. They then made it difficult to return the item and refused to help. I lost $53.96 on this order from their NC, USA location.

- San Antonio, TX, USA • Mar 09, 2026

The web is deceptive. You think it’s located in the US, but it’s Belgium and their warehouse is Huangdong China. They listed orthopedic shoes and what I finally partially received were poorest of quality. No tags, smell terribly, and definitely not orthopedic. You can’t track the orders and took about 6 weeks to slowly arrive. Shoes within the pairs don’t even match. Now I ‘m going back and forth with them trying to get my money back. I placed A claim with PayPal but it’s been back and forth with this bait and switch company from Bymayberry.com.
