I applied for a job via Indeed. I got a message in the app with an email address to contact regarding scheduling an interview. I then filled out an online interview form and was offered employment. They emailed me an "e-check" for $6950.00 and asked me to print and deposit it, then use the funds to purchase equipment from an approved vendor whose information they would provide later. They included a phone number and asked me to text it after I deposited the check. I searched the number online and found it could be connected to other employment scams.
