Boonville Auto Sales fake RV auction website
The website is really well done and looks and seems legit. I registered on the site by providing my Drivers License info. There was an RV being auctioned off with the auction ending in 10 minutes (https://boonvilleautosales.com/vehicle/274). Starting bid was $34,000. This unit would normally sell for about $80K. So, I submitted a bid for $36K, not excepting to win, however I did win the bid and received and email (attached). I was contacted that evening by someone named Brandon Hayes. He had a foreign accent. I was immediately suspicious, so I started doing some research. I called local businesses near the 320 Ashley Rd location and they had confirmed that the location was no longer an auto sales but instead a sheriffs office. When I called Brandon Hayes back and confronted him with my information, he said don't call back and hung up.
