Was sent two emails to set up a zoom call. They went to my spam but I was in the process of replying before I realized I didnt remember applying for the job. I checked ineed and didnt see it on my list of applied jobs. I check the same lists on LinkedIn and Zip Recruiter but could not find it or any other emails. I decided to just ignore it but then I got a call today from 612-284-5536. I looked it up online and saw other people had had a similar experience so I decided to ignore the call. They didnt leave a voice mail and I have never had a company reach out for a job, miss a call, and not at least explain who they were and ask for a call back. Seemed sketchy to me. They also called themseves Blue Wave Events but when I go onto their website they say they are a marketing company.

I received a call from a caller identified by my phone as a potential scam caller, which I did not answer. Immediately after, I received a text from someone wanting to set up a Zoom meeting the next day to discuss the company. I agreed, not recognizing the company name but assuming I had applied to a job of theirs at some point. However, after reviewing my job application history, I realized that I had not applied to them, and after some more investigation came across the ScamPulse.com report.

Was called by the listed phone number with the caller ID of "HUMAN RESOURCES" and offered to join a "virtual interview" on zoom the next day at 12 PM. Caller confirmed that the interview would involve multiple candidates but did not disclose further details. Upon joining the call. 27 participants were all muted with the chat disabled. I left the call after two minutes.

Blue Wave Events, Ignite Promotions, Inc., and Kripalani Investments, Inc. are all owned by the same individual (Ankit Kripalani) and operate from the same building, which raises serious concerns about potential fraud, shell company activity, and financial misconduct. The structure of these businesses suggests they may be engaged in deceptive practices, including possible investment fraud, tax evasion, and labor law violations.

A key red flag is that Blue Wave Events claims to offer a base salary of $400 per week, but the majority of earnings are commission-based. This model is often used to mislead potential employees by advertising stable pay while making it difficult to earn a sustainable income without excessive sales or recruitment. If workers are expected to reach unrealistic sales quotas or are pressured to recruit others, the company could be operating in a pyramid scheme-like manner. Additionally, if employees work full-time hours but are paid on commission, there could be a case of worker misclassification, potentially violating Missouri labor laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). There have been multiple reports from others on this matter on differing platforms.

Kripalani Investments, Inc. failing to file a registration report and now being inactive suggests the company may have been operating without proper regulatory oversight. Investment firms are legally required to register with the SEC or state financial regulators, and failing to do so could indicate an attempt to avoid financial transparency or legal compliance. If this company solicited investor funds while unregistered, it could constitute securities fraud. Furthermore, operating multiple businesses under one ownership in the same location is a common tactic used by shell companies to move money, create fake invoices, and launder funds under the guise of legitimate operations. If Ignite Promotions was used to own Blue Wave Events, this could be a way to conceal financial transactions and obscure accountability. There is proof of Kripalani owning ignite promotions on Missouri SOS and it shows blue wave events being owned by ignite promotions.

The combination of a failed investment firm, a questionable commission-based job structure, and multiple businesses operating from the same location strongly suggests potential financial misconduct. If these companies are engaging in money movement between entities, issuing fake invoices, or failing to comply with labor and financial laws, they could be involved in fraudulent activities. Investigating these businesses further through auditing or any other practice to prevent potential fraud is necessary.

They called my phone number they knew my full maiden name and they presented themselves as Abbey from the admin office in blue wave events. They moved on to say the my application had been received, and that the qualities were great leadership skills communication skills and so on. Then she stated I had been a good candidate and that the hiring director wanted to further interview me on zoom the next day at noon if that was ok I said yes and then she asked if my email was correct to which I said yes then we were saying goodbye then I looked it up turns out it was a scam. And I checked on ZipRecruiter that’s where my information was and where they appeared so most likely ZipRecruiter had a data breach

I applied to Blue Wave Marketing thinking it was a marketing position located in Creve Coeur MO. It was posted on Linkedin and I got a notification that my application was viewed on Linkedin. I set up my first interview and didn't realize it was a group interview. The interviewer told everyone to put their cameras on but no one did except me. I had a second interview with one person to tell me more about the company. Essentially he said that we would work with companies like Spectrum and sell carrier services to customers. There were different tiers and you had to work your way up to make more money. He said within 2 years I had the potential to make 100,000 in yealry salary, which I found odd. Before I scheduled my third interview, I googled the company and found a reddit thread of the same company reporting a scam. This company claims to have an office in Creve Coeur however there is no office named Blue Wave Marketing in Creve Coeur, MO.

- Carbondale, IL, USA

Contacted me via text saying they were first hiring for a office assistant at one company i had applied for via ziprecuiter.com, however during interview process changed everything. Says they have clients of different well known brand such as Sprint, Verizon, Spectrum, wounded warrier project, etc. Pretty sure they got my information and other people information through the job websites.
