I have been on disability for a few months and around the time my Health Insurance transferred to a different administrator (outside my company), "Billing Services" mailed me a letter requesting payment claiming to be this company. I checked in with my HR Department, and they had never heard of "Billing Services" (Company Name). My HR Dept gave me the correct company's information, and assured me that this "Billing Services" was not to be trusted.

When I called in to their Customer Service line, the automated message asks for you to type in your entire Social Security Number!!

Type of a scam Debt Collections

We received a notice claiming that we owed a debt in the amount of $927.94. The "Creditor" listed: Pub Subscriber Center Inc., is not known to us. When we tried to call the phone number given in the letter, the line was busy. The letter states that if we fail to notify them in writing within 30 days after receipt of the notice that the validity of the debt is disputed, they will obtain a copy of a judgment against us. They claim that if we notify them in writing within 30 days that the validity of the so-called "debt" is disputed, they will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against us and mail a copy of the verification or judgment to us.

We have no idea what this is about, and assume it to be a scam. Would like to know if there have been any other similar reports. We wanted to report this in case others may have gotten similar notices.
