After attending a travel show presented by Vacation Reservation Services, one of the incentives was to be a $35.00 pre-paid Visa card. After sending the voucher to the company, I later received a note from "Best Value Getaways" stating the cards I requested was out of stock, so they enclosed a check (#1915, drawn on Wells Fargo Bank). As I use Wells Fargo also, I attempted to deposit the check, only to be told it was no good, and that it could not be deposited. Wells Fargo would not provided any further info, except to say it would be bad news to deposit this check. I contacted Best Value Getaways, and was promised that someone from the company would contact me, But that never happened. The main incentive was 2, Round trip Air Fare vouchers. The vouchers were maximum $300.00, after you purchased them for $100.00 then paid $79.00 each to use them. The company providing these vouchers, carried an F rating with the BBB. I shredded the air voucher, knowing I did not want to participate in that program, but I did think I would get the $35.00 card, not a WORTHLESS check.

I received a card in the mail to come to a presentation. They offered some gifts to attend. The presentation was very convincing and we purchased what we thought would save us a lot of money on travel. We were given 3 days to cancel but not having the user name and password to check it out on line it was hard to determine if what they said was true. We were told it would take a week to 10 days before we would receive our user name and password to the website. Once we received the information to login to their website, we noticed that there wouldn't be any savings whatsoever. This so-called business is nothing more than a scam. I have called many times and none of my calls were returned. I honestly think that no one works at that phone number since no matter what time I call, a phone service takes my message and tells me that they will send an 'expedited' message to them to let them know that I have called many times without receiving a call back. Even the sales person, David Raft, will not return my call. This business is just another travel agency....sort of. It is a feeder business to Save On Resorts which is the travel agency. You supposedly get points for booking travel through Best Value Getaways/Save On Resorts. When I asked how they determine how many points you get for bookings, they couldn't tell me. In the presentation, they (Best Value Getaways) show a lot of points for booking, for example, a cruise. Of course they show you points on the most expensive cabin on the cruise. As you build your points you can use those points to book future travel. Again, this is just another travel agency that offers points for booking with them. Don't waste your money on this scam. You can get the exact same deals from other travel agencies without paying to book with them.

This company had us go to a presentation. The presentation showed some great deals for vacation. We had to pay $2500 upfront, but asked to pay $500 on that day and the remaining in 2 weeks. They accepted. Two days later, after thinking about it, we decided that we wanted to cancel the contract. Per their contract, a customer is entitled to cancel the contract as well as receive their money back. I have called every day, and every day I have been told that the person in charge is not available. I have also been told that I would get a call back, this has never happened. I have yet to receive my money. I will pursue legal action.
