Beno Support Technologies Reports & Reviews (1)

Using Firefox Web Browser I clicked on my Yahoo Fantasy Football page and a Web Page showing Microsoft Technical Support and an error message appeared on my screen that my computer had be locked because it was highly infected and to avoid infecting the network. A number was provided which I called. A technician asked if she (Nancy) could access my computer to check for the problem. After pointing out the numerous problems, I was offered cleaning done by a support technician. In addition, I was offered technical support and software to protect my identity for $398 for 4 years. While trying to pay for the service with my debit card the transaction was denied twice so they asked for my checking account information to make the payment (which I stupidly provided along with a check number). I thought I was talking to Microsoft. The next day, I received numerous phone calls from a number I didn't recognize. Two days later I received a phone call from a check processing company. It turns out that Beno Support Technologies had mistakenly put the bank address in a location that required my physical address and and the check processing company had a policy that didn't allow them to make the change. I was directed to contact the provider with a telephone call. I asked the check processor what the name of the vendor and was given the name Beno Support Technologies. I contacted Microsoft Technical Support and found out they have no working relationship with Beno Support Technologies. Microsoft went through my computer and cleaned it completely. Microsoft said, "Simply close the Window or browser where the pop up alerts shows up and end task the application from Task Manager as well. I stopped payment on the check, contacted card services and cancelled my debit card, closed my checking account and changed the passwords on all of my online accounts. This is just plain fraud and it really stinks.
