I, just like so many others were anticipating their fee of $75.00 or a lot more for a state ran program. Just like many others on a low, fixed income who are disabled, cognitive issues or elderly get targeted. The companies name is, Bear Trail Bikes. The smoke shop/FREE-E-BIKES sign has all been seized and taken down in Lakewood and every location that was on Google Maps were never a store front for these E-BIKES, COMPANY goes by, BEAR TRAIL BIKES. It's a great way to get your personal information stolen and your money taken is wrong regardless if you struggle financially or not because this is so wrong to do to people for a quick buck. I know there's talks about Bear Trail E-Bikes having programs in other states but, I'd heed caution when giving them your personal identification and monies relating to a good possibility that you will not receive any product/E-Bike. I truly hope that no-one else gets scammed by these criminals.

This company was offering low cost E-bikes. I ordered two of them on 12/28/2025. The bikes were supposed to be delivered in 4-6 weeks. It’s July and I have not received anything.

They used to have a support phone number which is disconnected. I also drove to the location listed on the bottom of their support email and it was an empty building. They messaged in February saying they are filling orders as they come in and that’s the last I heard from them.

Every attempt I’ve made to contact them has been a dead end.

I placed an order for the ebike online through their website https://www.beartrailbikes.com/ on 2/28/26 and received an order confirmation stating "Estimated delivery 6 - 12 weeks".

On 6/1 (after 12 weeks) I called and emailed for an update and didnt hear back from them.

On 6/15 I called and emailed again, and also visited the address listed on their Locations page at 10101 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231 (https://www.beartrailbikes.com/pages/our-locations-1) and did not find a store there.

As of today 6/29 I still havent heard from them and the phone number is no longer working.

I paid $74, and they also took my one-time tax credit of $225.

The company claims to order a bike with your state ebike credit. They charge $75 for assembly which is paid up front. No bike is ever delivered. All my personal information was provided as part of the rebate program from the state. I haven't received a bike assembled or not. The company now has sensitive information for anyone who tried to get the bike. So now they are keeping the money from the state ($225) and the $75 for assembly.

My son and I used our Colorado E-Bike tax credit to purchase two e-bikes from Bear Trail Bikes last December 2025. Bear Trail says that Colorado did not fulfill their duty to reimburse Bear Trail and to call the department of energy. The department of energy says they will not reimburse Bear Trail until the bike is delivered. Bear Trail has since moved from their Lakewood location and will not return phone calls. My son and I are both out $50 and we have both used our $250 dollar rebate allowance.

Buyer beware, my wife and I both took advantage of the credit on e-bikes and paid out of pocket for difference on 2 bikes, that was end of December 2025 eta 8-12 weeks. They sent emails saying more and more delays, then no emails last 6 weeks, so fast forward 5 months still no bikes, but they still have our money. I filled out contact form several weeks ago to get an update, no response, I called, no one picked up, left a message, no response, sent an email to their designated customer service email no response. So far they've taken money, not provided said products, are way past estimated delivery windows, not replied to any communications to get this cancelled OR pivot to other bikes, OR provide an ETA with a deadline any of which would have been appropriate resolutions, instead ZERO responses to ANY of their communication channels is infuriating. Don't do business here. Likely scam
