BB File mails and emails businesses listed in state directories impersonating state government agencies. They offer to file state compliance paperwork (like biennial statements for LLCs) but charge significant mark-ups without disclosing that they are adding a service fee. In this case, NY state charges $9 to file a biennial statement but BB File collected $148. BB File then processed the paperwork in the wrong month, which invalidated it, and caused the business owner to refile in the correct month. BB File has not been responsive to emails from the business owner, despite claiming to return messages in 24 hours. There is no phone number listed for BB File.
