I believe the Wi-Fi at Hendrick GMC in Columbia, SC has been hacked. I was required to respond to their text message to verify my phone number, which I did. About 10 minutes later, sitting in their waiting room, I received a text message that said it was from my bank, Bank of America. This is precisely the text:

(***Urgent Notice)

BofA security check activated confirm identity immediately (814) 667-4636.

I did not call that number. I did report to Bank of America but I've heard nothing from them. In fact, I turned off my phone at that time.

Real person called with my correct first name and maiden name. Then said my BOA card had been used 3 times in 15min and asked if an authorized the spending. I informed the person that I don’t have a Bank of America card- never have. They asked if I could restate that so they could record my response in case there was any fraud. Then asked how many credit cards I had through my Social Security number. I said I would not discuss my social security number with a bank I’m not associated with and then they hung up.

Apparent phishing email to my Gmail asking to confirm my email address

I did not call the number or click on anything. It was not something I initiated. It was asking me to verify my email address.
