Evan Shelton (Ball Mastery SoCal) - reached out via Instagram saying he'd like to coach my sons. He wanted to book a session with us and asked for $30 deposit to be paid toward his Venmo Account @Evan_Shelton-4. Via social media chat he shared that "$30 can pay remainder day of ..refundable as well or roll over if anything comes up." That was paid out two weeks prior to the scheduled training session. The day before the session, I reached out and asked for the location of the training. I was only told "PearlRidge" - when I asked for a specific address, there was no reply. The next day, I reached out again to cancel and asked for my deposit back. He said he had food poisoning and needed to go to the hospital the night before. I still asked for my money back. I Venmo requested the $30 from him - several days passed and I did not receive anything from him. I reached out again and he said that his Venmo account "is frkezi for some reason" and would not let him pay me. The next day my husband called him and arranged to get cash payment from him instead - they arranged to meet the next day at PearlRidge Community Park (where he apparently does trainings). On that Tuesday he texted me again saying "I won't be able able today. Can u have husband meet me Friday 5om PearlRidge community park .. I didn't make it to the bank. I had car issues still trying to get to soccer field might not make that also Friday will work perfect". Friday at 4:26p I get a picture of an old chevy brown vehicle with a blown out tire "This happened in morning I didn't make it to bank but my venmo is fixed I'll move money send tomight". Instead of getting a Venmo payment - I got a DECLINED Venmo request email stating that he declined my payment request. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!
