My husband received a cell phone call from a debt consolidation business that identified themselves as Axiom Co. and he talked to a Frank Spenser at 1-800-827-1668 extension 1227. Unfortunately he fell for the ploy and gave him our address, email address, his cell phone number and last 4 digits of SS Number and 3 of our credit cards to consolidate into a much less interest rate loan repayment. I told him within the hour that it was most likely a scam and we called our three credit cards to cancel and reissue new numbers. No activity had been reported in that hour. We also placed a fraud alert on all three credit reports.

Do you have any information on this scam and is there anything further we should do or report this to. I am so afraid that they can open new accounts in my husband's name in the future.
