AWG Home Warranty Division Reports & Reviews (31)

To start, received a letter and in the addressee window next to my name has the words “To The Order Of” as of it were a check. Second, has centered and bold “TIME SENSITIVE “ and “IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED” and my “Customer ID” and “Our records indicate that you HAVE NOT CONTACTED us yet” as if I was a customer, which I never have been. Then of coarse telling me in bold and caps “CALL IMMEDIATELY AS THIS MAY BE OUR FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU” if I could only be so lucky.. seems like these “companies” are following suit of the fake car warranty companies. And like them, I’m sure they will take your money for years until you do need to have something fixed and will weasel out of it.
Very deceptive business advertising

Company sends a letter stating that its a notice of "home warranty [that] may be expiring or may have already expired. Please contact our offie at 1-855-0582-2770 within 21 days of receiving this notice".

This is at best a deceptive sales tactic. No such warranty exists and idea of a "home warranty" is sketchy to start with.

I see there said behind sister leave that way. I knew that said its me deaf single alive stay home cleaning kitchen sink, cooking thing few day not week that why. Jesus christ lord god amen.??

Scam letter we received in the mail is attached.

I received three of these letters printed on pink paper as if it was time sensitive with the name of my secured loan holder. The phone number 1-855-559-7948, and states that I must reply by 07/13/2021. I knew this was a scam because I have property insurance on my home. After receiving the first pink paper letter I phoned this number and asked to be removed from their lists. I am not interested in their Home Warranty Offers. They continue to harass by sending pink paper letter numerous (3) times. This is unethical and harassing the home owner.

Got the same scam "pink" letter (from AWG, Home Warranty Division) saying all my home appliances with warranties were expiring. I did bother to call the number...
"855-582-2770" --they will prob change their number anyway.

I could see that "The AWG Home Warranty Division" was a Total scam from the start.
No return address on letter just phone number. It looked like from the postage, it may have been mailed from 63155, permit 5497. They tried to make it look real..., coming from St. Louis. It's totally fake.
These [censored] are trying to scam, whoever will fall for their tricks.

I have received a letter from AWG, stating my property's home warranty expired or will be expiring. I called our home owners insurance and this was not true. The letter came without a return address, and a bright pink letter with capital letters stating IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED. I am concerned that these people have my property information. They should not be permitted to scare the elderly people in to buying additional insurance.

What a joke these pink “urgent” notices are! Of course, I didnt fall for their bull**** offer but I just HAD to call AWG and offer my opinion. I didn’t reveal my phone number or “property code” despite the “agent” insisting I give those to him. He claimed the company is BBB A+ rated. If you check the BBB website for AWG (Aegis Home Warranty Group) it clearly states, “Customer Reviews are not used in the calculation of BBB Rating”. It also states AWG is NOT accredited, noting, “ To be accredited by BBB, a business must apply for accreditation and BBB must determine that the business meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses must pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public.” Now check the CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. This is why AWG is NOT seeking accreditation—— they clearly can’t get it and certainly wouldn’t pay for it!. I don’t know how the BBB came up with their speculative rating of AWG bit if I were you, I’d avoid any business with them at all costs. Anyway, I completed my phone call with “Nicholas” at AWG by telling him I’m sorry for him having to work such a crap job. Click! Hehehehehehe...

Received one of these letters printed on pink paper as if it was time sensitive with the name of my secured loan holder. The phone number 1-855-559-7948, that I must reply by 12/15/2020. I knew this was a scam because I have property insurance on my home.

Received a letter on pink paper, indicating my home warranty was to expiring or have all ready expired. To call 1-844-352-2015 and activate my service contract on my home before its to late! That had my address and Mortgage company's name.I do not have a service with AWG Home Warranty. Knew it was a scam.Made my mortgage aware of the scam.

I got a letter saying that my home warranty may have expired which is not the case. The letter gave a phone number which I called to get off their mailing list. The "consultant" asked me for information about my home, whether I was moving, etc. I ended up using very strong language and he finally said he had removed my name. This whole thing is a scam to deceive about their coverage.

I received another PINK LETTER from AWG HOME WARRANTY DIVISION telling me my warranty may be expiring or may have already expired. I do not even have my mortgage with the company they have listed. I have contacted them before to tell them and they said they would remove my name from mailing list. It looks like they didn't. How can I stop them from sending these letters repetitively? I'm getting tired of this B.S. junk mail now. The number they have to call is 1-844-352-2015

AWG Home Warranty Division has sent several letters, informing me "that the property's home warranty at [my address] secured by [my lender], may be expiring or may have already expired." This implies that there was existing coverage by my lender (not true). In very tiny print at the bottom, they indicate "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder." The only way they would have the information about my address and the name of my lender is to have checked the records at the city clerk's office, where a lien was filed for a home improvement loan.

Next to my address in the window of the envelope is "To The Order Of" implying that there is a check enclosed. This is a deceptive effort to get me to open the letter.

Whether or not the company sells a legitimate service contract, their advertising is deceptive and appears designed to frighten people into purchasing a home warranty that they don't need. I may be elderly, but I don't fall for this type of scam.

I received post card claiming my propertyy's home warranty may be expiring or may have already expired. I don't have a home warranty. The company says respond by March 18, 2020, they give no home address or website, only phone number. In extremely small print at bottom of card they note that "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder." I feel that this a pressure tactic to fool you into a deal you don't need or want, A scam !

- Killeen, TX, USA

On Dec 26, 2019, I received a pink letter from AWG Home Warranty Division, in Missouri; stating that the letter is to inform me that the property's home warranty at my address in Killeen, Texas may be expiring or may have already expired. I immediately identified this letter as a "Phishing Scam;" designed to trick unwary and/or elderly citizens; alarming them to a false sense of security concerning a type of insurance that they in fact do not have and do not need on their homes.
