I was hired to work for A&W as a data entry/ virtual assistant. I went through the entire interview process and was sent an offer letter/ contract. I began training and was sent a First Midwest check for $1,800. I was strictly instructed that this was for company equipment only. I was instructed to send the funds to the company's vendors who would then When I asked to be reimbursed I received no response from A&W. Please help me!!

I'm a junior in college and I applied to work with A&W as a data entry/ virtual assistant to make money while I went to school. I went through the interview process and received an offer letter/ contract to work for A&W. This however was a scam. I was given $1,800 to purchase company equipment for my home office. I was told to send the funds to a given vendor then the company equipment would be shipped to me. The funds were removed from my account, but the check did NOT clear. This left me with a overdraft of $1,800 and I never heard A&W. This company scammed me out of my money.
