Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

The scammer/fake production company contacted me by finding me on the MN Film & TV organization's website. I have gotten jobs through the site before so I thought it was legit. They said they were looking for a PA and that since they are located out of state, they needed me to run a few errands for them before they came into town. They mailed me a check and the Wells Fargo supposedly processed it. After a couple days, the funds were 'available' and they had me make a cashier's check so I can deposit money into the "other" PAs account. I have never met this PA and when I asked to be connected directly to the PA they didn't answer the question. After the "other" PA's account was deemed blocked and unable to receive deposits, the representative from the production company asked me to buy 5 $200 Amazon gift cards since the deposit wasn't going through. After that, they had me send the codes to them. The next day they said I should try to deposit the cashier's check again and tell the bank that the banker from the other day was racist (which makes no sense). I went to the bank and they FINALLY sensed something was wrong. After going back to the original check and sending it to their fraud department, the bank said the check was bad and fraudulent. My account went into negatives and Wells Fargo locked my accounts the day I was supposed to go on a trip. During my trip, the representative from the production company tried to contact me but I ignored their efforts. After not reply back to their messages they said they would 'stop' the check. I already knew it was bad so I ignored that message as well and they stopped reaching out.
