Type of a scam Debt Collections

Three separate voicemails were left on my wife’s phone, stating that I had a pending civil action against me, and I needed to contact ARG and Associates with the reference number giving to settle out of court. The tricky thing here is ARG& Associates is an actual insurance company and not a collection agency. I called the number and the so called motion that is against me could have never happened. The person on the phone stated I made an attempt to secure a payday loan and provided a closed bank account as collateral for repayment in 2014, I have had the same open bank account since at least 2013 and have not taken any payday loans since prior to 2012. I asked the individual I was speaking to why I haven’t been served any paperwork from a process server and I she got angry with me and said if I don’t pay today, I would be. I told her that’s what I prefer to happen and she yelled at me, “ you will be next week! Good Luck!” And then hung up the phone.
